2026 Yukon Quest Alaska Video Contest Official Rules

Love capturing the action on film? Show us the trail through your lens! This year, video submissions will compete alongside photos for our top three overall prizes.

1. Video Submission Requirements

• Format: All entries must be submitted in MP4 format.

• Length: Videos must be no longer than 3 minutes.

• Entry Limit: You may submit one (1) video.

• Note: If you choose to enter a video, you cannot submit photos for this contest.

2. Ownership & Copyright

• Original Work: You must be the creator and owner of all footage submitted.

• Music & Audio: You must have the rights to any music or audio used in your video. Entries containing copyrighted music without permission may be disqualified by Facebook.

• Usage Rights: By entering, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners agree to grant Yukon Quest Alaska the rights to use, edit, and publish the winning video for promotional and marketing purposes.

3. Deadlines & Voting

• Submission Deadline: All videos must be submitted by February 28, 2026.

• Voting: All qualifying videos will be uploaded to the Yukon Quest Alaska Facebook page.

• Public Vote: Voting begins the first week of May 2026. Winners are determined by the number of unique likes on the video post.

4. Prizes

• Financial rewards will be awarded to the top three overall entries (competing against photo entries).

• Specific prize amounts are TBA and will be announced before voting begins in May.
