2026 Yukon Quest Alaska Photo Contest Official Rules

Capture the spirit of the trail! Whether it’s the breath of a husky in the cold air or a wide-open landscape, we want to see your best shots. Below are the official guidelines for entry.

1. Eligibility & Photo Ownership

 * Original Work: All participants must be the sole author and owner of the copyright for any photo submitted.

 * Rights & Permissions: By entering, you warrant that your submission does not infringe on the intellectual property rights of any third party.

 * Usage Rights: By participating, the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners agree to grant Yukon Quest Alaska the irrevocable rights to use, reproduce, and publish their winning images for promotional, marketing, and archival purposes.

2. Submission Details

 * Deadline: All entries must be submitted by February 28, 2026, at 11:59 PM AKST.

 * How to Enter: photos2026yqa@gmail.com

 * Limit: 3 photos per person

 * Credit: please include your First and Last Name and Hometown.

3. Judging & Voting Process

The winners will be determined by the community through our official social media platform:

 * Platform: Voting will take place exclusively on the Yukon Quest Alaska Facebook page.

 * Timing: Public voting begins during the first week of May 2026.

 * Scoring: Winners will be decided based on the number of unique likes on the original photo posted in our contest album.

4. Prizes

 * Financial reward will be granted to the 1st place winner with 2nd and 3rd place winner given photo credits and social media and website exposure.

 * The specific cash prize amount is currently TBA and will be officially announced prior to the start of the voting period in May.

Note: Yukon Quest Alaska reserves the right to disqualify entries that are deemed inappropriate or do not meet the ownership requirements.
